- Google Firebase / Google Cloud (USA): We store enquiry data, maintenance requests, and rental application information in Google Firebase Firestore. Google Cloud infrastructure may store data on servers located outside Australia. Google is certified under applicable data protection frameworks. - Meta Pixel (Facebook): We use the Meta Pixel on our website to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This may involve transmission of limited browsing event data to Meta Platforms Inc. (USA). You can opt out via your Facebook ad preferences.
By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your data to these overseas recipients. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers maintain privacy standards consistent with the APPs.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. Our data is stored using Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised Housit staff.
Application documents (including identity documents) are submitted through our secure platform. While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. In general, records relating to enquiries, tenancy applications, and property management are retained for 7 years after the end of the relevant relationship or transaction, in accordance with Australian record-keeping obligations.
Application drafts saved to your browser's local storage are stored on your own device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience and to support our advertising measurement (via Meta Pixel). You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of our website.
